Quantum Roulette

Live Quantum Roulette is powered by Playtech. You can find Live Quantum Roulette at Playtech online casinos in Canada. This is the first live dealer game that applies random Multipliers of up to 500x to winning straight up roulette numbers. Quantum™ Roulette Instant Play is a fixed-odds betting game based on roulette with a 3D roulette wheel. Quantum™ Roulette Instant Play introduces a win multiplier feature on straight bets only. Before the ball lands, Quantum™ Roulette Instant Play will randomly choose up to 5 numbers and apply a random multiplier of up to ×500 to them. Quantum Roulette Not exactly a new game from Playtech in that it officially launched a little while ago & once again being another copy of a game from Evolution Gaming (ie. Lightning Roulette ). Live Quantum Roulette is a single-zero variant with an automated roulette wheel and virtual table interface. The presenter’s only task is to host the session and keep the players engaged, as opposed to the actual dealers who take active participation in the game, by setting the wheel in motion. Quantum Roulette The game is played with a live dealer and a slingshot Roulette wheel, using the standard European Roulette rules. During every game round, some Straight Up positions are enhanced with a random Quantum Multiplier, which multiplies the payout of that Straight Up bet.

This Playtech live roulette variant is becoming very popular thanks to its 500x multipliers . It’s a European Roulette game (one zero) , with multipliers hitting straight-up numbers at random from 50x all the way to 500x.

Multipliers range from 50x to 500x offering a big prize potential.
The Quantum Boost feature increases the value of multipliers even further.

This is a visually entertaining game along the lines of Lightning Roulette from Evolution. In fact, aficionados of the wheel might notice quite a few similarities between the two games.

The 2 games work in many of the same ways, but you could say that the Playtech variant is the more visually appealing, with plenty of flashing lights when the multiplier awards drop in. All the action takes place on a Playtech auto slingshot roulette wheel, and then you have a compère with a mic who is talking you through the action. The experience often depends on the individual of course, but it can be pretty engaging.

Game Play

So the layout is pretty standard. You have a European betting table plus a racetrack betting area in view (for Voisins du Zero and so on). Up to 5 single numbers can be hit with a multiplier on each round from 50x to 500x in steps of 50.

Random Boost
Where Quantum Live Roulette does differ from Lightning Roulete is on the Random Boost which can add up to 50x to the multipliers.

Random Leap
Another Random feature that can double or triple the multipliers. In both cases (Boost and Leap), the maximum multiple you can get to is 500x.

Example
So say you had a €10 on the number 8 and the 50x multiplier hit that number. You would win €490 plus you would get you original ten back, bringing you to 50. You can only win these kinds of bets on straight up bets. If you had covered 8 with a outside bet like a street bet, you won’t win the multiplier award.

Play Single Number Bets
If you normally like to cover substantial areas of the table, then you might be better off with a more classic roulette game, as this game is all about the multipliers really. Your other option is to cover the table in a similar way but by playing lower value single number bets. So instead of betting on red, for example, you could just cover 50% of the table with 18 single number bets. And then you would be eligible for the Quantum awards.

29:1 rather than 35:1
Someone pays for these big multipliers, and that is the straight up bettors. Here is the flip side of the coin. If you win a straight up bet that does not get the Multiplier Tinsel treatment, you will get a pay out of 29:1 rather than the 35:1. So, as in many casino game, the trick is to pull off a 500:1 win early on in your session!

RTP

Roulette

The Return to Player on Quantum Live Roulette is 97.3%, ie a house edge of 2.7%. That’s pretty much what you would get for standard European Roulette, so it’s not as if the casino has gifted you any of it’s overall advantage, they have just rejigged the timing and quantity of the payouts, making this a more volatile game compared to a standard European variant.

  • The 500x Multiplier. If that hits early, you are in a good place!
  • Visually appealing. This is an entertaining game.
  • The Random Boost and Leap features are a nice touch
  • It´s pretty fast
  • The payout on a single number is only 9:1. This essentially funds the big multipliers.
  • The running stats only show you the last 12 spins.
  • The flip side to the speed of the game is that it is hard to cover board with a high %. Use the Save Favourite Bets feature to speed things up.

Chatty

The croupiers on this game are pretty chatty. Now that can be entertaining (it depends on the individual of course), but just to warn you these guys and gals have the “gift of the gab” (they can talk in other words. You might want to have your volume control ready 😉

Quantum Roulette Strategy

Whatever you do on Quantum Roulette, do it with straight up bets otherwise you are throwing away the whole point of the game. Yes, the single number payout is lower than standard roulette, but only until the multipliers hit in which case you could be in line for a 500x payout.

My plan is always to cover the table at least up to 50% (the equivalent of an even money bet) and hope for a multiplier hit early on. You can always apply a Martingale Strategy for 2 or 3 rounds, although this is more difficult then it would be on a standard table.

So keep your bets low and try and spread your self around.

Summary

I do get the feeling that Quantum Live Roulette is basically a copy of Evolution’s Lightning Roulette except you don’t get the thunder and lightning. You do get those additional multiplier boosts though (Boost and Leap. I wouldn’t use this game to play a strategy, but it did entertain.

This Playtech game is based on European roulette and gives it something of a shot in the arm by introducing multipliers and a few other features.

It is a live game broadcast from the developer’s studio in Latvia, and it certainly looks the part, with animations on the interface and a dramatic set that is very thematic.

If you have ever played Evolution Gaming’s Lightning Roulette then it is very similar, but there are a few additional perks.

Quantum Multipliers

The base game works just like regular European roulette, but you will notice an extra element in the form of multipliers.

After betting time is over but before the ball is spun, up to 5 numbers will be randomly selected for a multiplier. This is clear to see from the animation as displayed in the image above.

These multipliers will be decided by the RNG, starting at 50x and going up to 500x in increments of 50.

If you happened to have bet on a number that is given a multiplier and that number happens to come in, your stake will be multiplied by the multiplier. This has to be a straight up bet though, other bets that include the winning number do not count for the multiplier.

Game

Quantum Roulette Rules

So if you had bet £1 on red 21, then it is selected and given a 250x Quantum multiplier and comes in, you would be looking at an extra £250 in your account. If you had just bet on red you would only receive the regular 1:1 payout.

Quantum Boosts & Leaps

Additionally, at random intervals you might see the Quantum Boost or the Quantum Leap trigger.

These are additional bonuses that boost the multipliers as follows:

  • Quantum Boost – All or some of the multipliers are boosted by 50.
  • Quantum Leap – All or some of the multipliers are doubled or tripled.

You still need the ball to land on your number to win these bets when they happen.

RTP

The theoretical return to player percentage for this game is 97.30% as is standard for European roulette, but they are throwing in multipliers so how have they managed this?

Well, if you check the paytable you will see that straight up bets have a decreased payout of 29:1.

Quantum Roulette Payouts

This is significant because the usual straight up payout on a standard game of European roulette is 37:1.

Quantum Roulette

Quantum Auto Roulette

There is also an automatic version of this game, but the only difference is that there is no host, it is shot from a single birds eye view angle, and the wheel spins automatically. Funny that.

The payouts, gameplay, and rules are all exactly as described above, although you will be playing on a different wheel so the results won’t match the regular version’s results.

The ball is launched without the need for dealer interaction just like in the hosted live game. For both versions of the game they employ what is called a slingshot wheel which uses air jets to launch the ball onto the automated wheel.

This is perhaps best played when you want a quieter, calmer experience as the hosts tend to bring a lot of energy to their games and constant chatter, whereas the auto version only has a few sound effects and a computerised voice announcing the results of each spin.
